Due to the current level of coronavirus restrictions and guidelines from RDA National, riding will be restricted to those participants that do not require side walkers and only require a limited amount of help to mount/dismount the horse.
Unfortunately RDA National are still not permitting carriage driving as it is not possible to maintain the current social distancing guidelines whilst undertaking this activity.
Over the coming days the Magpie team will be contacting riders that we feel are likely to be able to ride within the current RDA guidelines to discuss availability and options. We are continuing to maintain close contact with RDA National and will increase our activities as soon as possible in line with the easing of the restrictions in relation to riding and carriage driving.
*The above is contingent on no additional restrictions being implemented or re- implemented in the meantime.
We would once again like to express our thanks for the amazing level of support that has been given to the Magpie Centre since this crisis began and assure you that we are doing all that we can to resume to riding and carriage driving whilst complying with RDA National Guidelines.
We are grateful to everyone that has put in the hard work with the horses, helping in the fields and the yard, working behind the scenes to keep the infrastructure alive, for the fundraising, the donations, the messages of support and for absolutely everything that so many have contributed to ensure that the Magpie Centre is ready to fully reopen as soon we are allowed to!
Our thanks again for being there when we needed you!
